Globacom has affirmed its faith in the future of Nigeria, describing the country’s children as highly talented and having the potentials to be world-beaters in all disciplines.
In a statement by the company’s Executive Director, Special Projects, Mr Mike Jituboh, on this year’s Children’s Day, Globacom said it was convinced that the Nigerian future was bright because of the brilliance exhibited regularly by Nigerian children in different fields of human endeavour.
“This is why Nigerian scholars excel whenever they have the opportunities outside the country. They only need to be exposed to the right environment and the most current teaching aids,” the company said noting that the renewed drive of the government to improve the quality of education in the country would stimulate today’s children and prime them to exceed the achievements of the present generation.
The company advised Nigerian children to eschew dishonesty, greed and laziness but rather work hard in their studies so as to become great men and women in the future.
Meanwhile, Globacom weekend held in Lagos held the last audition of the world’s biggest singing reality TV show, X Factor which it brought to Africa for the first time
