Anambra 2014: A Young Catholic Coming to make a difference-Chief Ugochukwu Ifeadigo Okeke

Chief Ugochukwu Ifeadigo Okeke[Enyioha 2014], governorship aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party [PDP], has said that the solution to kidnapping and other vices in Anambra State is to empower the youths.
He said his mission is “Ka Anyi Dozie Anambra”. For too long campaign promises have been made with a view primarily to “win elections” but rarely ever as a guide of well thought out programs, activities aimed at galvanizing thoughts, actions and the people towards achieving the much yearned about status of our dear state, Anambra.
He said if he emerged as the governor of Anambra State in the next governorship Election in 2014, his priority would be to empower youths of the state with meaningful jobs.
He said this recently at an interactive session with the entire Anambra indigenes resident in Abuja while declaring his ambition to contest for the governorship election come 2014 in Anambra State. He said if elected as the governor of the state, his major priority would be education. He said he would improve on whatever he met on ground as regards education, insisting that education, if given priority, would solve major problems bedevilling Anambra State.
Okeke, a graduate of Banking and Finance from Nigerian University, Nsukka, in his early 40s, also said he believed in the three tiers of government, He said if he emerged as the governor of the state, he would make sure that local governments were empowered to be able to stand on their own because they were the closest to the masses.
He equally promised to reorganise the healthcare unit so that it would take care of Anambra indigenes health needs through public private partnership. He said, if elected, his government would partner with the private sector both within and outside Nigeria to position Anambra State to make it an envy of other states in Nigeria.
