The Egyptian Orthodox church denied Friday news about aborting an attempt to assassinate Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese."Such news is baseless and the pope is safe," the Papal office said in a statement, urging media outlets to seek accuracy in its news.
