Book On Reflecting God's Creation Launched in Kumasi

Kumasi — A RELIGIOUS Book, which aims at drawing man close to God based on deep reflections and the purpose for the existence of Man on earth has been launched in Kumasi.

The book, authored by the famous Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ishaak Ibrahim Nuamah of METRO TV fame, links the history of man's existence in older generations dating 300 years back and challenges the human mind to rededicate itself to the very purpose for which he was created.

The 147-page book, which is the 20th book by the author, also challenges man to take deep reflection on the human condition and elaborate further on Man's insatiable quests for wealth, power and fame and also the unlawful sexual gratification with its associated ramifications.

The masterly crafted and well-reflected book therefore presents faith in the Creator, God Almighty and challenges mankind to rediscover its very reason for existence on the planet, using Quranic and Sunnah (Sayings and Practices of Prophet Mohammed SAW) references.

Sheikh Nuamah told The Chronicle in an interview during the official launch of the book, that the break down in social norms and prevalence of vices particularly amongst the youth in the society was because man has forgotten the very purpose for which he was created.

According to him, the destruction of divine materials and adoption of modern civilization during the French Empire 300 years ago, commenced the destruction of man and stated that the book seeks to link the historical occurrences to current circumstances.

"I believe that the fundamental reason for the breakdown of virtues and upsurge in vices is the fact that man appears to have forgotten the real purpose of his existence on earth; the greatest harm Western civilization, driven by liberal philosophy and secularism, has done man is his/her alienation from the Creator in all spheres of human endeavour," he stressed.

Sheikh Nuamah, therefore, stressed the need for a deep faith in the Creator which he said would help liberate clutches of depression, superstition and unwholesome attachment to the servitude of worldly pleasures.

He pointed out that the book is not meant solely for Muslims and that it is a book that would be beneficial to everyone irrespective of one's religion.

The CEO of Paragon Development Consultancy, Sheikh Nassir, stated that the book presents a thoughtful and insightful analysis of current human difficulties and proffer divine solutions necessary to overcome them.

He noted that in this modern day of high emphasis on intellectual capacity and secularism to the neglect of religious and spiritual based approach to dealing with matters confronting man, it is necessary that such a book is available to assist man to rediscover his lost root.

The author has other books including Islam- A Misunderstood Religion, The Fruits of Wisdom, A Case for Educating The Muslim Child, Life Realities and Strategies amongst others, to his credit.

The official launch of the book was performed by the MCE for Asokore Mampong Municipality, Hon. Nuru Hamidan, who encouraged Muslims to cultivate the habit of reading in order to development their potentials and understand nature.
