Aliyu, who was referring to an accusation by the northern chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) that he was causing disunity among northerners, also accused the group of being induced financially, adding that they were saying that to justify the money they had collected.
Aliyu made this know in his residence in Minna while receiving members of the state chapter of CAN and the state Christian Pilgrims Board led by its Chairman, Rev. Musa Dada.
"Politicians are becoming desperate. They are being given money to wrong people, to say things against other people and to justify the money they have collected, these people must talk," he said.
Aliyu advised CAN to disassociate itself from those wanting to cause disunity in the country, adding that contrary to the accusation of CAN in the North, he does not discriminate between Muslims and Christians in the state.
"I didn't choose the Deputy Governor or Speaker. This state had a governor with a Christian deputy governor but the state did not see any impact as they have seen in my administration.
"I am a governor to everybody. I have sworn to serve everybody in the state regardless of their tribes, ethnicity or religion. I give people their equal rights since I resumed as governor.
"We need to cut the legs of the trojan horses that are bent on causing disunity in our country. Every leader must identify with his people because the moment you start discriminating, you would have sown discord in the community," the governor said.
Earlier, the state CAN chairman, appreciated the state governor for all he had done for Christians in the state and for ensuring that there was recruitment of Christian teachers the schools in the state.
The chairman of the state Christian Pilgrims Board, Yisa said the governor identify with every group in the state, stressing that he does not discriminate in appointment or recruitment.
